The International January 1 Club

On the eve of the new millennium we announce a competition of stories about unusual events that happened to You on January 1 or You have heard about. Your stories will be placed on this page as they come to hand. The results of the competition will be summed up every three months. The winners will be determined by open poll of all Club's members. You will learn about the poll details a bit later on the CLUB'S NEWS page.

The following nominations are proposed:
the most intriguing story;

the most funny story

the most frightening story.
Attention: 1. The story must begin with the following words: "You may believe it or not, but the matter was the following�"
2. The size of the story must not exceed three hundred words.
